Our firm was established in 1997 as split-off of one of the largest and oldest law firms in the Netherlands, long before the big boom of niche firms on the Dutch legal market. In that respect De Metz can be called a trendsetter in its own right. Driven by entrepreneurship, searching for the human scale in client relations as well as within our firm, the founders of De Metz nailed the proverbial ‘sign on the wall’ and started, confident that because of their many years of international experience and excellent personal reputation in corporate and commercial practice, clients would follow. And so it happened. Because law practice is ’people’s business, after all.
