Van der Tol was incorporated in (post war) 1945 as a family owned business and has become a leading landscaping company in the Netherlands operating from three locations with 160 employees. Van der Tol’s mission is to make cities greener, healthier and more liveable, by focusing on biodiversity, effective (re)use of rainwater, preventing the warming of cities and improving the indoor climate. This mission is optimised by close cooperation with a broad network of specialised partners.

In July 2021 Olivier Copijn, employed for more than 19 years and CEO of the group since 2,5 years, acquired the shares in Van der Tol from former CEO Rob Franken. With this transaction the company makes a clear and defined choice for a bright and independent future.
